Workshop and Training on Sage 50 Accounting Software for ICASA 2017 Finance Team

The ICASA International Secretariat welcomed Mr. Bernard Okoua, the local ICASA Secretariat Accountant, to its Headquarters in Accra Ghana to undergo a training workshop. The goal of the workshop was to train members of the Accounting/Finance Department of both the International Secretariat and the Local Secretariat on the Financial Procedure of ICASA 2017 and most importantly the use of the Sage 50 Accounting Software.
Before training commenced, Mr. Luc Bodea, ICASA 2017 Director and SAA Coordinator, officially welcomed Mr. Bernard Okoua to the ICASA International Secretariat and wish him and the Account team success as they began to undergo their training.

Mr. Wisdom Avotri, the Software Consultant from Solution @ Ease contracted to give the training. During the first day of the training, the Head of Administration & Finance, Madam Clemence Assogba and all the team were taken through System Over-view, (Supporters & revenues) & (Providers & Expenses).
Day 2 of the training was also undertaken by the entire team. They were taken through the General Ledger & Reports by the instructor.

 

Day 3 of the training of participated by the ICASA 2017 Project Accountant, Mr. Samuel Amoako, the head of Administration and Finance, Madam Clemence Assogba, the ICASA 2017 Accounts Officer, Miss Vicencia Azizet and the local ICASA Secretariat Accountant, Mr. Bernard Okoua. They were taken through hand –holding procedure.
Also, there was a regular staff meeting in which Mr. Luc Bodea the ICASA 2017 Director, highlighted a few concerns with the upcoming ICASA in Abidjan. He emphasized the need for commitment, accountability and good Governance from the local & International Secretariat which he considered as key to the success of ICASA 2017 Abidjan. He directed his concerns to Mr. Okoua and asked him to share with the local secretariat.
On the final day of the training workshop, the Accounting/Finance Department had a meeting with regards to the ICASA 2017 Budget, the Financial Procedure and the ICASA 2017 Charter. After the Questions & Answers session, deliberations came to a successful end.
Mr. Luc Bodea, the ICASA 2017 Director thanked Mr. Okoua for having dedicated time to come for the training workshop and wished him a safe journey back to Abidjan.
