KEY ACTIVITIES TO THE 1ST ISC MEETING OF ICASA 2021 UGANDAadmin
In line with the upcoming ICASA 2021 Conference in Kampala, Uganda, despite the adverse challenges accruing to the novel corona virus pandemic, the ICASA Secretariat embarked on various activities to unfold the ICASA 2021 programme. In partnership with all stakeholders, the following activities took place:
- Call for ICASA 2021 Logo submission – 50 logos were received. 27 were disqualified for not following criteria. 23 logos were collated and submitted for pre-selection. 10 logos have been preselected for the upcoming 1st ISC meeting in Kampala, Uganda, in December.
- Call for Proposition for ICASA 2021 Theme and Objectives – 21 themes and 71 objectives were received from Across Africa and the Diaspora. Currently, the ICASA Secretariat is engaging all 3 programme committees to finalize shortlisted propositions for which the final validation at the upcoming 1st ISC meeting in Kampala, Uganda in December.
- ICASA 2021 Abstract subtitle Review – The Scientific programme committee made up of the 5 track sub committees reviewed the ICASA 2021 Abstract subtitles per track. After a rigorous review process, the ICASA Secretariat in conjunction with the Chairs of various track committees validated the ICASA 2021 Abstract subtitles.
- ICASA 2021 Plenary Topic/Speaker Proposition – The Call for Propositions for plenary topic, plenary speaker, and backup is slated for 9th November 2020. This activity would be undertaken by all 3 ICASA programme committees and would be completed by the end of November. After which final validation would take place at the upcoming 1st ISC meeting in Kampala, Uganda in December.
